[About the speaker]:
Jiang Caijian, a senior scientific and cultural worker, former S&T Editor of“China Times”, the publisher and Editor-in-Chief of “Knowledge and Communication Review”, part-timeassociate professor of the Institute of Journalism, National Taiwan University. He once taught the course “Positioning and Challenges of Science in Culture” at such universities as National Taiwan University, National Central University, National Yang-Ming University and Fu Jen Catholic University, etc.. He once published a series of books including “Interview with Masters”, “The First Lady in Physical Science---Chien-shiung Wu” (annual top 10 book), “The Beauty of Norms and Symmetry-Biography of Chen-Ning Yang” (Golden Tripod Award), “Awake from Scientific Dreams (Golden Tripod Award). He was granted the dissemination contribution award in the 3rd Xingyun Truth, Goodness and Beauty News Award in 2011. In recent years, he’s paid special attentions to the positioning and significance of science in different cultures.
